‘I didn’t realise that,’ he said eventually. ‘I guess you would get a chance to develop a closer time with her. Could be good.’

‘Italy could be gooder,’ she said with mischief on her face.

 ‘But you talk about her a lot and I know you’ve wanted to be closer to her again, and it would be a good chance for me to meet her. Let’s think about it.’

They chatted and chewed it over for a while, and eventually they decided that this year Calpe would be the place to be.
